This call is open to anyone presenting on topics related to flamingos and/or their habitats including research, monitoring, husbandry, conservation, management, outreach, education, and policy.
All Oral Presentations are to be given in the English language.
Deadlines for submitting Abstracts for Oral Presentations (15 min), and Posters will be April 15
The Abstract is a brief, clear summary of the information in the presentation. Abstracts typically have an introduction to the issue with some background and a statement of the purpose of the study; a brief description of the methods; overview of main results; and conclusions with implications or applications of the work. If you do not yet have results from your study but plan on completing the work by the symposium, please make that clear in the Abstract. Preference for oral presentations will be given to projects with completed results or products.
We are also accepting proposals for a broad range of topics that encourage learning and skills development in research, monitoring, husbandry, conservation planning and management approaches, outreach and education, or encourage learning, collaboration, problem-solving or generating new ideas relating to flamingos and their habitats.
Workshop duration may be 1.5-3 hours.
