There are two bus companies providing transport from the airport to Mestre. One is for urban transport (ACTV), and the other is for extra-urban transport (ATVO). From the airport, you can take the ACTV bus n.15 . If you want to stop directly for the icebreaker dinner, you must step out at either "Forte Marghera Millosevich" or "Forte Marghera Gerlin" stops and then walk to the "Birreria Pedavena" (approximately 8 minutes on foot, as estimated by Google Maps).
Otherwise, if you intend to first reach the Hotel, the correct bus stop depends on the hotel's location. In the case of Hotel Alverì, it is approximately a 15-minute walk from Birreria Pedavena, so reaching it on foot is less complicated than waiting for bus connections.
ACTV buses stop more times than the ATVO buses but it’s a valid option especially if you’ve booked your hotel in Mestre city centre. This bus leaves from the airport every 30 minutes.
You can check the timetable and book your ticket in advance from the Venezia Unica portal. You can also get your ticket in any Venezia Unica ticket office at the airport (in the baggage reclaim and arrivals area and the ticket machines near the bus lane).
The ACTV buses leave from the bus lane located just in front of the airport, a few metres away from the airport’s arrivals exit, adjacent to the AeroBus bus stop.

The excursion fee (Day 6) includes a guided boat tour through ancient Venice lagoons with views of the old city and hopefully flamingos

Departure from Tronchetto
Participants will take a bus from mestre paid by participants ( 1.5€).
Tour program:
9.00 Tronchetto passage in front of S. Marco passage in front of the mouth of the port explanation about MOSE navigation towards canal S. Felice
12.30 lunch in Torcello “trono di attila” included in the tour
14.30 afternoon in Burano to walk around
17.30 Tronchetto return to hotel by public bus 1.5€
Clear instructions will be given at the conference prior to departure.
